GTEC Training

GTEC Training, a leading provider of specialist training for the building services and renewable energy sectors, has been officially accredited by CABWI (Certification and Awarding Body for the Water Industry), a nationally recognised organisation specialising in vocational qualifications for the water and utilities industry.
The accreditation means that GTEC Training can deliver CABWI-certified courses that support key industry sectors, and meet the evolving needs of the energy and utilities workforce. Certified competence-based and knowledge-based vocational qualification courses delivered by GTEC will include Level 1 Certificate in Network Construction Operations (Water), Level 2 Certificate in Network Constructions (Main Layer), and Level 2 Certificate in Network Constructions (Service Layer).
CABWI is recognised for its rigorous standards and its role in ensuring qualifications are relevant, respected, and reflective of current industry requirements. It launched a third-party endorsement programme in 2016, which is designed to recognise high-quality in-house training programmes.
Griff Thomas, Managing Director of GTEC Training, explains, "This achievement reflects the hard work of our team and our ongoing mission to deliver best-in-class training solutions that support the green skills agenda and meet the highest industry standards.
"Our trainees will benefit from receiving nationally-recognised, regulated qualifications regulated by Ofqual in England and CCEA in Northern Ireland, that will expand their career prospects and give them a competitive edge.”
Paul Byrne, Chief Executive Officer at CABWI Awarding Body: “We very much welcome the opportunity to work with GTEC Training the UK’s #1 Renewable Training Provider as one of our licensed centres. The addition of our NCO Mains and Service layer Qualifications to their portfolio will enable these to be more widely available in the marketplace.”
