Tech Investment Sets Nexus Up For Peak Success

Leading B2B vehicle and plant hire solution Nexus has significantly invested in its market leading Iris® platform in preparation for the upcoming peak period, ensuring clients benefit from even smarter, faster and more efficient fleet solutions and can take control of the ever-fluctuating demand.

In preparation for the 2025 peak period, the Nexus team have already processed over 7,000 hire bookings for clients, an increase of almost 20% year-on-year. This surge reflects the continued growth of online shopping and the increased pressure for suppliers in the logistics sector to meet faster delivery expectations. To support this demand, Nexus has continued to grow and leverage its unrivalled network of over 300 supply partners, 550,000+ vehicles, 2,000 vehicle branches and 24/7 rental booking and support.

Recent upgrades to the Iris® platform have enhanced both operational efficiency and client experience. These upgrades include the introduction of a bulk group update tool, which enables large-scale booking changes to be completed in seconds, saving large amounts of manual effort. Not only do these improvements strengthen Nexus’ internal operations and reduce the potential for errors, but they also deliver tangible benefits to customers.

Gerry McCaig, Chief Operating Officer at Nexus, said: “Our technology-first approach means we are always looking for ways to improve Iris® in a way that supports all stakeholders. The recent enhancements have helped us to process a record number of peak hire bookings quickly and efficiently, ensuring our customers continue to receive the high-quality service they expect, even in the busiest period of the year. It truly supports our powered by tech, delivered by people approach, utilising technology to speed up bookings whilst freeing up the team to provide key support to clients where needed.”

With Iris®, clients have the ability to manage all rentals in one place, saving time sourcing from multiple suppliers. The comprehensive management information suite also helps users to spot trends and make environmentally conscious business decisions. With demand continuing to rise, Nexus remains committed to innovation, delivering the flexibility, reliability and scalability that the modern fleet vehicle rental landscape requires.
